ONE: Influenced by Deren
Maya Dren's stark black and white style will be used to illustrate a poem written on the backdrop paper. Emily will learn these lines and recite them to the camera. NO beds! The entire scene will be shot on the neutral-grey backdrop.

TWO: Sheer Posing
One hour of shooting with this sort of fabric, to emphasize the dancer's body and elegance. Set to prose and to music. Sean has assortment of sheer clothing.

THREE: The Lab
In the basement of the studio is this laboratory, abandoned six months ago, for a dental company. 20-minute visit with lights to capture Emily in this surrounding. Great for portrait as well as full body shot.

FOUR: Portraits for Emily
Very important to get five or six brilliant portraits with NO nudity or lingerie. Emily can use these for ALL of her portfolios. These portraits will result from the various sets we shoot, and will be accumulated along the way.

FIVE: Cutting the Clothes off her Back
Using a fake samurai sword, Emily cuts off a short and pants in a short series of shots to set to an essay about nakedness on stage. More or less replicating this sort of progress, from prim model to nude in shreds. Glittery backdrop. Sean will provide clothes to ruin.

SIX: Silhouette Dancer
Emily dances or moves dressed in sheer robe fabric in front of large white disc, creating a silhouette effect of dark body in lace against white background. This will be set to a Goddard-styled essay about imagery and commerce. What are we selling? Why?

SEVEN: Emily in Studio Lights
Important that costume changes always get a few minutes of attention in front of the strobes to create portfolio-quality pictures. Emily must leave with high-quality magazine-style pictures!
