Office at the Wonderbox
Different work stations for different tasks, a critical feature of the past two decades. Blue read about Carl Sagan's insistence that different types of work needed different desks and chair types. "This way, wherever I'm sitting or standing, I know what I am supposed to be doing," says Blue, "And only one of these computers can be connected to the Internet. It's too easy to avoid working without financial incentive, i.e., on art, and the temptation of the cats playing the pianos on YouTube must be resisted by not having the videos available at the click of a mouse."
Script for Teresa Nabais movie
For her movie about traveling alone to Afghanistan, Blue interviewed Teresa Nabais, Montreal photographer. He then transcribed some of the ideas in a subtitle format and then had Teresa write the same script in Portuguese. Her voice-over was then recorded in several takes, and her beautiful movie "My Own Private Afghanistan" was the result.
