Shooting with Mr. Blue: A Quick Guide
September 27, 2021 (for YELENA B.)
This is modified from a template that I keep on my site to provide information whenever I hire a model to work with me on a collaborative project. I’ll add a few things specifically for you. Some dialogue examples will go directly to your email or MM messages.
GENERAL AGREEMENT
I'm just going to detail a few things about how this would work so we are completely on the same page and there are no surprises for you or for me.
What I provide to you
$40 for travel costs to DC
$50 per hour fashion/lifestyle modeling and acting
$100 per hour art nudes or modeling in sheer clothing
Four hours of fashion/lifestyle and four hours of art nudes results in a fee of $600. With travel costs, I will pay you $640. If we shoot for more hours, the hourly rate will apply. I can send a deposit of $140 via PayPal immediately.
You're more than welcome to bring a friend or escort, no problem. An escort at the actual shoot is always welcome.
What I expect from you
4 hours of fashion/lifestyle/dance and 4 hours of art nudes, some of which will be for a nude silhouette dance for the song “Alive.”
This means you will be modeling for a total of 8 hours during your trip to DC, with half the time clothed in costumes and half the time in sheer lingerie or nude.
I expect some wardrobe (which I will detail to your email or MM messages), and some MUA ability. Some study or acquaintance with acting lines or scenes before you arrive.
The removal during shoots of any piercings on face, belly, chest.
Additional Modeling Time
Once we have got our 8 hours in, and assuming we both have the energy to do so, we might decide to add more modeling time. This pays out at $50 for clothed fashion/lifestyle shoots, or $100 for art nudes or revealing lingerie. I generally include swimwear in the former category at $50 an hour.
You are free to stop shooting whenever you wish, of course. You must be 100% comfortable throughout the shoot, or the project isn’t worth it. If you change your mind about nudes or sheer clothing, no problem. I will NEVER try to talk a model into posing against her wishes. We would continue our shoot for 8 hours at the $50/hour rate if you decide against the art nudes or sheer lingerie. YOU must be completely in control of this decision.
The Shoot
I will NOT ask you to sign a model release form. If you want me to sign a form under your terms of shooting, I can do that, no problem. I will not post any pictures or video from our shoots without FIRST clearing each image and every frame of video footage with you.
I will not shoot you lying on or in a bed, nor will I shoot you in “cheesecake” poses, and I'm not interested in crotch shots. I enjoy shooting nudes, but without the story and the clothed pictures the nude shots are completely worthless. Establishing a character is just as important as the nudes. Critical that we both know this.
I'm going to try to make you look like a movie star (such as Lena Olin from “Unbearable Lightness of Being”), and this might involve some light acting or speaking parts. You can learn the lines in minutes, don’t worry. Getting the four dances shot of course will be the priority.
These links are more or less the kind of shoot I am expecting to accomplish with you:
“Sin” (Dance Video) with costume decided by you.
“Namaste Papi” (Dance Video) with flamenco, gypsy-themed costume
“Mother” slow ballet-style wearing only white sheer robe
“Alive” slow dance in nude silhouette, wearing only bra and bracelets with back-lighting so your figure is completely black against white background.
As far as still images go, I will be sure to get several “looks” of a magazine-style quality in interesting costumes or fashion. I will also shoot several art nude themes, that will be fairly modest so they can be shown in public. Some of these examples are shown below, and some you will already have seen in the “examples” link I sent to you previously.
Above all, I am interested in creating a character that you will portray that is equally intelligent and dangerous. No guns, but a very clear intention that you are fighting on behalf of Mother Earth to preserve wilderness and wildlife, while your your character struggles to understand how she can use her beauty and figure as bait for oil industry executives. We can talk about this while you are in DC, and this character could serve to become an eBook on iBooks.
I am sure when your character is revealed as somebody who would like to swim with sharks in the Indian Ocean but is stuck instead in a poisonous urban setting, viewers or readers will immediately wonder what you will do next. This makes for compelling literature.
References
My co-producer is Sandra Bishop, and we have a production company called Wonder 101, which you can visit at wonder101.com. Her number is 301-674-3375. I can give you four other people who can vouch for my talent and intentions:
Emily Aguilar is a Los Angeles film-maker with several children's movies just released, and her number is 703-663-0982.
Sueraya Shaheen is a Dubai-based photographer and photo editor of Tribe Magazine and her U.S. number is 929-271-9843.
In DC, you can contact Helmuth Humphrey (pro photographer at HelmuthHumphrey.com and Apertures.com) at 703-980-3686 or Mark Hooker (software engineer) at 781-883-3540 for references as well.
You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram as Seanie Blue, and you can see the type of public presence I've created, all based on a unique blend of writing and images, but rarely on images without writing. You can also see some general critical acclaim for my musicals and movies at this link: http://www.seanieblue.com/critix. And on Model Mayhem there are a lot of models vouching for my work and safety in the credits.

Authorship
My plans are always to create an eBook with a unique character that can be put up on Amazon or Apple’s iBooks. For sale, perhaps, but probably as a work which can be downloaded for free. I think it is essential that you are shown as a co-producer of this product, along with me and Sandra Bishop. If there is a movie or a commercial book to come out of such a work, you would be a co-producer with equal ownership for the concept.
Very important. We can talk about this when you are in DC or best after we see the results of the shoot.
Some specific STILL shots to DO with you
I plan to get a different “set-up” or “scene” accomplished at least 8 times, basically one scene per hour. Each scene can yield many images, but the scenes should be distinct from one another, either by location, by costume, by posing, and by recording stills or video. This means there will be some down time for you, especially in the studio, while I set up equipment and backdrops, props and lighting. You are always being paid, even during these down times, from the moment you show up for work to the moment you leave for the day.
There are some scenes that I definitely want to imitate or re-create from past shoots of mine. These are my priority, and of course I’d like you to put your spin on these scenes by adding your personality and wit. If I need you to specifically copy something, I will say so.
These 8 “scenes” are in my plans for sure:
