Shooting with Mr. Blue: A Quick Guide

June 29, 2019 (for HAVEN LANE)

This is modified from a template that I keep on my site to provide information whenever I hire a model to work with me on a collaborative project. I’ll add a few things specifically for you. Some dialogue examples will go directly to your email.

GENERAL AGREEMENT

I'm just going to detail a few things about how this would work so we are completely on the same page and there are no surprises for you or for me.

What I provide to you

Roundtrip air tickets to DC (non-stop)

Lodging (at Sandra Bishop’s house, w private room and bath)

$50 for Uber and coffee petty cash for each flight ($100 total)

$50 per hour fashion/lifestyle modeling and acting

$100 per hour art nudes modeling

Eight hours of fashion lifestyle and eight hours of art nudes results in a fee of $1200.

Baggage fees (est. at $30 per flight, or $60 total)

You're more than welcome to bring a friend or friends, no problem. Obviously I won't pay their fares! And an escort at the actual shoot is always welcome as well.

What I expect from you

Modeling time to compensate for some airfare and travel cost: eight hours of additional modeling: 4 hours of fashion/lifestyle and 4 hours of art nudes.

This means you will be modeling for a total of 24 hours during your trip to DC, with half the time clothed and half the time in sheer lingerie or nude.

I expect some wardrobe, and some MUA ability. Some study or acquaintance with acting lines or scenes before you arrive.

The removal during shoots of any piercings on face, belly, chest.

Time in, Cash out

The minimum amount of cash you will receive is $1360. This breaks down to $1200 for 16 hours of modeling, $100 for airport hassle, and $60 for baggage. Any Uber or other transportation charges will be paid for by me. I will buy you one complete meal each day, and I’m generous about chai or coffee or snacks.

Cash will be paid out daily as actual cash and PayPal.

Additional Modeling Time

Once we have got our 24 hours in, and assuming we both have the energy to do so, we might decide to add more modeling time. This pays out at $50 for clothed fashion/lifestyle shoots, or $100 for art nudes or revealing lingerie. I generally include swimwear in the former category at $50 an hour. I saw on MM that you have an erotic pose rate, and this might be something I’d like to add for a couple of hours if we have the time. So we are not limited to the 24 hours of work we have agreed to, as long as we have the energy to continue.

You are free to stop shooting whenever you wish, of course. You must be 100% comfortable throughout the stay, or the project isn’t worth it.

The Shoot

I will NOT ask you to sign a model release form. If you want me to sign a form under your terms of shooting, I can do that, no problem. I will not post any pictures or video from our shoots without FIRST clearing each image and every frame of video footage with you.

I will not shoot you lying on or in a bed, nor will I shoot you in “cheesecake” poses, and I'm not interested in crotch shots. I enjoy shooting nudes, but without the story and the clothed pictures the nude shots are almost worthless. So the clothed shooting is just as important as the nudes. Critical that we both know this.

I'm going to try to make you look like a movie star (Kathleen Turner from the 80’s, the actress from Cold War, etc.), so some pubic hair is a good idea, even if it is just stubble, so I can place a character in the distant past, forty or fifty years ago before the clean-shaven look.

These links are more or less the kind of shoot I am expecting to accomplish with you:

The Nude in the Art Gallery

32 Short Movies about Bardot

Above all, I am interested in making a character that you will portray that is equally intelligent and dangerous. No guns, but a very clear intention that you are springing a trap for a plastics executive or an oil magnate, and your character understands how she uses her beauty and figure as bait while she still feels a bit guilty for doing so. I might hire an actor in her 60s or 70's to also play your role, as though we are seeing into the future, letting her explain how she caught her prey. I might also hire an actor or actors to play the executives you hunt as they explain their motives on video. I think it's crucial that one of these characters turns out to be a good person who was on the point of making great changes to his corporation before your character intervenes, and because of this your character already senses guilt for her mistake.

I am sure when your character is revealed as somebody who would like to swim with sharks in the Indian Ocean but is stuck instead in a poisonous urban setting, viewers or readers will immediately wonder what you will do next. This makes for compelling literature.

References

My co-producer is Sandra Bishop, and we have a production company called Wonder 101, which you can visit at wonder101.com. Her number is 301-674-3375. I can give you three other people who can vouch for my talent and intentions:

Emily Aguilar is a Los Angeles film-maker with several children's movies just released, and her number is 703-663-0982.

Sueraya Shaheen is a Dubai-based photographer and photo editor of Tribe Magazine and her U.S. number is 929-271-9843.

In DC, you can contact Helmuth Humphrey (pro photographer at HelmuthHumphrey.com and Apertures.com) at 703-980-3686 or Mark Hooker (software engineer) at 781-883-3540 for references as well.

You can also find me on Facebook and Instagram as Seanie Blue, and you can see the type of public presence I've created, all based on a unique blend of writing and images, but rarely on images without writing. You can also see some general critical acclaim for my musicals and movies at this link: http://www.seanieblue.com/critix. And on Model Mayhem there are a lot of models vouching for my work and safety in the credits.

Authorship

My plans now are to create an eBook called “The Nude in the Art Gallery,” and I’d like to put it up on Amazon Kindle. For sale, perhaps, but probably as a part of their Kindle program which can be downloaded for free. There is no photo-heavy piece of literature there as far as I can see. I think it is essential that you are shown as a co-producer of this product, along with me and Sandra Bishop. If there is a movie or a commercial book to come out of such a move, you would be a co-producer with equal ownership for the concept.

Very important.

We can talk about this when you are in DC.

Some specific shots to get done with you

I plan to get a different “set-up” or “scene” accomplished 24 times, basically one scene per hour. Each scene can yield many images, but the scenes should be distinct from one another, either by location, by costume, by posing, and by recording stills or video. This means there will be some down time for you, especially in the studio, while I set up equipment and backdrops, props and lighting. A couple of scenes will require a longer shooting time, with a hairstylist, or heavy makeup or bodypaint, or moving from one location to another. You are always being paid, even during the down times, from the moment you show up for work to the moment you leave for the day or for a long break such as a nap or touristy activity. If you are in character and riding for an hour with me in the car, you’re paid for that time.

There are some scenes that I definitely want to imitate or re-create from past shoots of mine. These are my priority, and of course I’d like you to put your spin on these scenes by adding your personality and wit. If I need you to specifically copy something, I will say so.

These 12 “scenes” are in my plans for sure:
