Glass blower Mike Fox has worked with every glass craftsperson in the world. He will be at Piltchuck this summer as a host and instructor. Blue has had a working relationship with him since 1996, but recently the duo have embarked on a project that tackles the values of art and the reasons for creativity. These pictures are simple evidence of the creative or imaginative situations the artists find themselves in whenever Blue visits Fox at his San Francisco studio. This gallery will be periodically updated.

Snowflakes and volcano ash, sticking to skin and lens, helps give this collection a silvery tone from long ago, when expectations from pictures were more about stories than crisp representation. The flaws in the world are so often edited out of the picture! When Blue works with models, he is always begging them to pose without makeup, without zits or pimples covered, without their best angles showing, because then he can write his poetry to cover or augment their blemishes. These shots of Abbi Hendrix were taken in the Arctic Circle when she and Blue collaborated on the movie "Assassin 62."

This is a gallery containing some of Seanie Blue's graphic designs and artwork. He grew up able to draw and then ran into art teachers in high school and gave up the skill. It took a dozen years to feel comfortable creating in color again, and he's been making up for lost time ever since.

This collection is up to show Blue's work with implied nudes. Sometimes more aggressive nudity isn't what a model or a client wants, and the trick then is to convey strong sensuality without turning off more conservative viewers. It's a fine line to walk, and requires an imagination that is blunt and honest and ambitious, but a style that is much more dependent on creating a sense of mystery or even secrecy.
