Blue's studio in Laurel Canyon was the highest residence in the city of Los Angeles. The drive up through Laurel Canyon emerging onto Skyline View and then uyp to the ridge overlooking both Hollywood and Beverly Hills left people stunned at the beauty of the place. Hawks, hummingbirds, coyotes, owls and even a lynx gave the studio a magical air. Gina Gershon lived there, and so did Robert Downey Jr. and Anthony Michael Hall. A parade of people -- some talented, some stereotypically "pretty" -- marched into the place as Blue pursued the fleshing out of his stories.
