Spy Without Love: Marina Romanova
I track her down in a studio in San Francisco to shoot pictures of a spy for a story I am illustrating. She is statuesque, razor sharp and funny. She loves the weapons I have brought for her poses. We get 800 pictures in four hours, and the piece I am writing is now copiously adorned. We talk at the very end about making a movie for the Ukraine market about a woman in the Americas making a living by stepping out of her clothes. "It will be a smash hit," she says, laughing. "When do we start?" THIS GALLERY WILL BE UPDATED APRIL 2011. -
Bailey Devonish
Gallery is coming March 2011. Bailey Devonish is an Orlando-based model, and these shoots with Blue were done in Manhattan in June, 2010. A gifted singer-songwriter and an actress as well, Bailey lights a room up with energy and ambition. She intends to write a book about her experience in the skin game, hence her collaboration with the wordy Mr. Blue. She played a villain with a rainstick who disposes of -- what else? -- slimy oil executives who mistake her for a lap dancer. -
Abbi Hendrix
COMING SOON. Gallery will be up April 2011. "Soon after I met her, I became obssessed with making Abbi look ugly. When a male says this, he really means to make the model look multo attractive so he can push her in the mud or dirty her up or throw a scar across her back. Worked for Newton and Beard." -- From My Private Hollywood, by Blue. -
Bikko Flies Undone
Danny Bikko attacks Blue with sword and words as she wrestles with the idea of becoming a killer of dreams. These pictures are part of the photo movie called "Anxious Moment" being produced by Dave Snider for the Photography Channel. They appear here as part of a series from Blue's four-year adventure in the Hollywood Hills. Blu-ray sample disc will be ready soon! -
Cat Langley in the Burn & Scar
Hired in 2007 to portray the mankiller Ananda Shields in Blue's epic take on love and murder, Cat Langley came to the Hollywood Hills from the Valley and told Blue ha had a future in the movies if he could concentrate on his poetry rather than everyone else's pornography. It was her advice that caused him, finally, to leave the city of angels. -
The Eagles Nest Studio
Blue's studio in Laurel Canyon was the highest residence in the city of Los Angeles. The drive up through Laurel Canyon emerging onto Skyline View and then uyp to the ridge overlooking both Hollywood and Beverly Hills left people stunned at the beauty of the place. Hawks, hummingbirds, coyotes, owls and even a lynx gave the studio a magical air. Gina Gershon lived there, and so did Robert Downey Jr. and Anthony Michael Hall. A parade of people -- some talented, some stereotypically "pretty" -- marched into the place as Blue pursued the fleshing out of his stories. In this gallery, several models appear in a variety of guises. More pictures coming, as Blue edits his past.
